Game Specific - do you plan to use this green for chipping or putting?
This is a very important question to many of my customers, especially those who take the game seriously. We provide two very amazing, yet very different products.
Our sand-filled putting surface is a fantastic all-around surface that accepts shots of any distance, often with bite, and allows for a green of any size and shape. We can set these greens to roll anywhere from 11 to 14 on the stimp.
The other is a nylon material that provides an absolutely perfect roll on putts of any length as well as a great surface to chip to using higher lofted wedges (56 degrees or so and higher). While working with PGA Tour Professional and Ryder Cup Champion Luke Donald on his indoor green, he hit one putt and said that it rolls at an 11. I trust his judgement.
We use our fringe turf to create a chipping collar around the green with both our sand-filled and nylon putting greens. This gives the green a natural, realistic look as well as a great place to practice green-side chips and flop shots.
